Tyla has been training at Circotica since it opened in 2016. Her background is in gymnastics cheerleading. She began teaching for us in April 2019. She enjoys training aerials, contortion, handstands and adagio.
Mim has worked in Circus since the age of 11. She received her formal circus training in Finland, Australia & NZ. She loves performing, teaching & training, and couldn't imagine having any other job.
Dedicated practitioner and super keen bean, Teresa is a passionate circus educator. Sometimes the writer - often the wanderer, after teaching classes you'll likely spot her disappearing into the bush amidst birdsong.
Josh discovered circus in 2017, with his background in classical and contemporary dance he easily marries beautiful movement both on and off the apparatus. He specializes in trapeze and being a group fitness instructor it only made sense to ask him if he wanted to teach some classes at Circotica - plus his quirky sense-of-humour wins over everybody!
Joe discovered circus six years ago after a misguided attempt at pole dancing, and he has never looked back. His background is in artistic gymnastics, and his main focus is straps. Oh, and he LOVES conditioning.
Erin is our super-cool circus loving biologist and aerial specialist. Surfing since she was a wee tadpole, Erin is the ultimate dancing outdoors girl.

Yulia is an aerial instructor who specialises in vertical apparatuses, such as aerial silks and rope. She is a qualified personal trainer, functional range mobility specialist and movement coach.
Freya began her circus journey in 2012 at a small community circus in Cornwall, UK. Though she enjoys all aspects of the circus, she specialises in duo acrobatics as a base. After completing her BA Degree with Honours in Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre at Circomedia in 2019, she moved to New Zealand in search of adventure.
All the way from Calgary, this globe-trotter discovered circus in 2012 in Christchurch. she started training silks and quickly discovered a passion for Lyra. She is used to wow-ing audiences with her amazing flexibility, and also happens to be very good at training her kittens to do tricks!
