About This Event:
Circotica Circus School is excited to host Gretchen Ernst (a.k.a. Technique Artist) for this 2-hour flexibility technique workshop!
This workshop will dig into the technique of stretching. We will do exercises for the supportive strength that puts joints into alignment, allowing muscles to relax and open safely and comfortably. We will do active release techniques to target common trigger points that hold us back. We will look at positioning for stretching and active flexibility for end range strength. As we go through class we will watch the work on different bodies to help teachers understand what they are looking at and watching for in students.
Recommended for: - Students who want to further their understanding of flexibility.
- Instructors interested in teaching flexibility safely and effectively.
- Anyone joining the handstand workshops - this will cover a lot of relevant technical points for handstand work!
Open to adults and youth.
- Bookings for students <16 years old are subject to approval by a Circotica instructor or senior member - feel free to enquire via email at bookings@circotica.com.
